New Zealand player Scott Styris who plays for Sussex which is qualified for Friends Life T20 finals day which is scheduled next month by facing Gloucestershire in their quarter-final at Hove.
Scott Styris, who blasted nine sixes and five fours in an innings aided by a James Fuller over going for 38 runs. Styris finished on 100 not out by joining third fastest hundred in Twenty20 history.
Sussex’s scored 230 / 4, and so it proved as Gloucestershire fell for 191 at the end of 20 overs.
‘I’m just pleased I got a few in the middle,’ 37-year-old Styris joked on Sky. ‘I’m just a slogger these days, they all seem to go even when I don’t want them to.’
